Puckett's Restaurants has served southern food, barbecue, brisket, pork and smoked chicken for more than fifty years. Friends and family come for the food and stay for the live music. In 2019, the team opened a new location in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, a mountain town that draws tourists to Dollywood, the Titanic Museum and more than 80 other attractions.

Pigeon Forge turned out to be a tougher market than Puckett's expected. Their new building looked too much like the Incredible Christmas Place, a popular attraction directly across the street, and out-of-state visitors had no way to know what Puckett's served or that live music played most nights.
Two years in, the team decided they needed a digital sign that could compete for attention on a strip full of it. The digital display built into their original sign design ran on software the team found difficult to manage, so they started looking for a different sign partner. Puckett's wanted:
"We can put live music on a sign. The graphics are amazing... it's like you're standing in front of the stage watching the music play."
Cirrus managed the project end to end: choosing the sign resolution for the best visibility, working with the team to get it permitted, and coordinating installation with Puckett's existing sign shop. Puckett's landed on a 6'x8' double-sided sign with 6mm resolution, visible to traffic moving both directions down the parkway.
Running it turned out to be the easy part. The Puckett's marketing team, working out of headquarters in Franklin, Tennessee, now programs specials, live events and updates into ScreenHub, Cirrus's sign software, and sees the changes reflected on the Pigeon Forge sign right away.
Within two months of installing the sign, Puckett's revenue rose more than 40%, during January and February, typically their slowest stretch. The sign is bringing in tourists who'd never tried Puckett's BBQ before and filling seats for their live events.
