About the Job

The Director of Supply Chain is a highly visible and critical role within Cirrus. As we continue our impressive growth, this role will be responsible for the planning, sourcing, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products. To do so, the Director will manage a team internationally across multiple offices and time zones, optimizing material buys and material movements in sync with the business. This individual must be capable and eager to provide strategic leadership as well as routinely engage in hands-on/roll up the sleeves activities to ensure the company’s day-to-day needs are met.

Job Duties

  • Responsible for building, evaluating and developing a lean and high performing team consisting of Purchasing (US and Taiwan) and Warehouse (US) personnel
  • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning to align on material and part demand
  • Manage the evaluation and development of strong strategic supplier and logistic service provider (inbound and outbound) relationships domestically and internationally to ensure cost, quality and delivery requirements are met
  • Responsible for the seamless phasing in and out of material and part demand throughout the Product Life Cycle
  • Responsible for the optimum raw material inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while maintaining inventory turn targets
  • Manage and optimize an orderly and efficient warehouse operation
  • Manage and optimize the accuracy of the perpetual inventory system
  • Responsible for BoM cost targets and takes action when targets are not met
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Complete LEAN training and participate in continuous improvement projects when you see the potential to eliminate waste

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics or other technical related field
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics or other technical related field preferred
  • APICS or equivalent certification preferred
  • Seven years experience in similar role
  • Independent and high level of self-motivation
  • Drive results with high sense of urgency and diplomacy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for duration of work day
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
  • Close visual focus required
